FRIDAY, September, 19th – Cafeteria. Set-up begins at 5:45 p.m. Serving dinner at 6:30 p.m. Contact Lisa Wood or Kathy AmrHein to help
Showing support to our troops as we honor representatives from every military branch at Saturday’s Varsity game
and/or donate food for dinner.

CONCESSION HELP NEEDED: HOMECOMING IS AROUND THE CORNER! This is only one of three home games this season. The stadium is sure to be full. Football parents are needed to help with concessions. There are 2 time slots available and we will need about 12 parents per session. 10:30 – 1 (during Sophomore game) and 1pm – 3:30 (end of Varsity game). Please do not sign up during your athlete’s game. Contact Lisa Wood or Kathy AmrHein to add your name to the list. Reminder: If you are able to help, please make sure you sign in with Boosters at the concessions tent so Football will be reimbursed financially for your volunteer time and efforts.

Varsity Guest Speaker: IHSBCA Hall of Fame Coach Jim Harrington
Jim Harrington has been inducted into the Elgin Sports Hall of Fame and the Illinois High School Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame (2001). Jim coached at Elgin High School for 15 seasons (1985-2000) and posted a record of 290-139. His winning percentage of .676 is second all-time at Elgin for those who coached the Maroons for at least 100 games. His teams won three sectional championships, three super-sectionals, and advanced to the Elite Eight three times. They also won 10 regional titles, six Upstate Eight Conference titles, five York Thanksgiving Tournament titles, and four Elgin Holiday Tournament Championships. Jim is a four-time winner of the Courier News Coach of the Year award. Before coming to Elgin, Jim had a record of 112-72 at Chicago Weber, giving him a career record of 402-211.
