Storm Survival Checklist
Include these items in your Storm Survival Kit.
Storm Blankets and Clothes ▢ Stay warm during colder months or unexpected cold weather. ▢ Have a change of warm clothes for each family member. Check yearly to make sure they fit.
Trash Bags and Wet Wipes ▢ Useful for sanitation needs, cleaning up messes, and gathering garbage.
Communication Devices ▢ Cell Phone ▢ Solar Charger
Water ▢ For drinking and personal hygiene. Include 1 gallon per person per day.
Food ▢ Non-perishable food. Check yearly to remove expired items. ▢ Include utensils, can openers, and anything else required to cook or eat
First Aid Kit ▢ disinfectants ▢ pain reliever ▢ bandaids and gauze ▢ prescription medications
Baby Necessities ▢ Formula and bottles ▢ Diapers and wipes
▢ Update supplies out as your child grows
Light Source ▢ Flashlight, and extra batteries in case you need it for an extended amount of time.
Battery-Powered Radio ▢ Listen to local news and weather during a power outage. Pack extra batteries.
Dust Mask or Cotton T-Shirt ▢ Helps filter out dust, debris, and toxins if your home has structural damage.
Plastic Sheeting and Duct Tape ▢ Use to temporarily cover and seal any damage to your home, or create a makeshift shelter.
Whistle ▢ Get the attention of family members or emergency workers. Whistle sounds will carry farther than your voice.
Tools ▢ Turn off utilities ▢ Remove debris from the road or your roof
