Title: Women’s Head Coach (2017 Season) Location: Sherwood Park, AB Type of Position: Paid (Honorarium dependent on experience) Responsible to: Vice President of Rugby Term: 1 season Objective: The role of the women’s head coach will be to develop new and existing players while fostering a positive club culture for both the Premier and Second Division women’s teams Responsibilities: * Develop training plans for both women’s teams to maximize individual and team development * Deliver two training sessions per week (Tuesday and Thursday evenings) at the Lynn Davies Rugby Park * Player selection and coaching for one to two games per week * Coordinate the recruitment and involvement of skills coaches, assistant coaches or guest coaches as required * Promote an environment that is club focused and encourages accountability between coaches and players * Maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times * Familiarity with Rugby Alberta rules and regulations and a commitment to staying abreast of any changes to the laws throughout the season Qualified candidates should have NCCP (minimum Level 2) and previous coaching experience Applicants should email their interest to Sarah Johnston, Vice President of Ladies Rugby ([email protected]) by January 15, 2017.
