LEE BLENMAN - CAMP DIRECTOR
Players are expected to bring shin guards, soccer ball, soccer cleats and a water bottle.
SGU Director of Coaching, NSCAA Premier, USSF B License, English FA License, USYS National Youth License, Georgia ODP Head Coach.
TRAINING PRIORITES
SGU Assistant Director of Coaching, Former Virginia Intermont Head Coach and Valdosta State Asst Coach, NSCAA Premier, USSF B License, Georgia ODP Staff Coach.
Players will have the opportunity to participate in position-specific winter training. Striker/Goalkeeper training will give players the chance to train in an environment that is high in energy, skill focused and promises to challenge each player to take their game to the next level.
Ages 12-18
COACHING STAFF
STRIKERS will be put through a set of challenging activities dedicated to the art of creating/scoring goals. They will be able to work on finishing and scoring from different situations: Balls to/away from goal; Breakaways, 1v1 with GK; Turning and Shooting; Near/far post crosses; Headers/ Volleys; Quick shots; Pressure training inside box. GOALKEEPERS will be put through a competitive program focused developing the complete player. Each player will be given individual attention on Footwork; handling (catching/parrying/boxing); Distribution with the feet and hands; Shot-stopping and angle play; Dealing with crosses; Positioning, 1v1's. Players will also learn to read the game through match situations.
