“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV
DAY 1
Five Day Challenge This five-day spiritual exercise gives you an opportunity to observe how you acknowledge God in your dealings with money. Read the instructions on the night before each subsequent day.
Spend the day noting when you interact with money or finances. Keep a log of all the times that you spend, earn, receive or think about money. Include times when you handle or are concerned about any financial matters, either your own or someone else’s. At the end of the day, go over your log and consider to what extent money is a part of your life.
DAY 2
Spend the day noting when you interact with God. Keep a log of all the times you relate to God, either through prayer or as you remember or experience His presence. At the end of the day, go over your log and consider to what extent God is a part of your day-to-day activities.
DAY 3
Spend 5 to 10 minutes comparing your logs from Day 1 and Day 2. What do you notice? Take a moment to ask God if there’s anything He would like for you to see.

Talk with God about your answers and what they mean to you.
DAY 4
At the start of your day, ask God to help you be in conversation with Him before and during all interactions you have with money today. Any time you use or think about money, talk with God about what you’re doing and why, and ask God to give you His perspective. At the end of the day, reflect on what happened. Was it hard to remember to talk with God? How did it feel to include God in your decisions about money? What was different? Talk with God about what you experienced.
DAY 5
Spend 20 minutes reflecting on what this challenge has revealed to you. Ask God to help you remember significant moments. Did anything surprise you? Did anything bother you? What have you learned about yourself? What have you learned about God? How do you want to go forward from here? Thank God for what He has shown you through this challenge.
