Soldier Creek Elementary is committed to the belief that all children can learn and acknowledges that all off us; student, teacher, parents and principal – working together can make a positive difference in each student’s achievement. In keeping with this philosophy, we ask each member of this team to read the items below and sign that portion which pertains to them. Throughout the school year, we will review these items and strive to maintain this commitment. Student Agreement It is important that I work to the best of my ability. Therefore, I will strive to do the following: Attend school daily. Come to school each day with pencils, paper and other necessary tools for learning. Complete and return class assignments and homework assignments on time. Study and read at home during an established study time in the evening, away from distractions. Demonstrate appropriate attitude and behavior at all times. Follow all school and class rules. Signature ____________________________________
Parent/Guardian Agreement I want my child to achieve. Therefore, to encourage him/her I will do the following: See that my child is punctual and attends school regularly. Support a positive school climate in the effort to maintain proper discipline. Establish a time for homework and review it regularly. Provide a quiet place for study. Encourage my child’s efforts and be available for questions. Read with my child.

Teacher Agreement It is important to me that students achieve. Therefore I will strive to do the following: Prepare lessons designed to achieve the district curriculum objectives and state standards, keeping in mind the needs of the student. Clearly define expected behavior and maintain a pleasant, safe, and orderly classroom conducive to learning. Communicate the instructional objectives to students and parents. Provide the necessary assistance to parents so that they can help with assignments. Use my skills to make learning enjoyable. Therefore, I will strive to do the following;
Provide an environment that allows for the positive communication between the teacher, parent and student. Encourage parent participation and involvement in school activities. Regularly communicate with students, teachers and parents. Encourage teachers to regularly provide homework assignments and reading activities that will reinforce classroom instructions.
