Question from Leah Watson (Shawmut Design and Construction) at 09:34 AM on 08/11/2016 There are two stumps that are to be removed along the existing fence line at the South side of the property. See attached plan with clouded areas and photos of trees. The stumps are located in close proximity to existing structures and removing the stumps mechanically to their full depth may damage the existing foundations and concrete pads. To limit impact to the existing structures, it is recommended that these stumps be removed by grinding only to the extent needed for new fence installation. A portion of the stump/roots would remain below the ground surface at each location and both could be treated chemically, if needed. Currently, only one of the stumps was identified to be treated. Please confirm it is acceptable to remove the two stumps partially and if chemical treatment should be applied to both stumps. Attachments: Derenzo RFI Stump Removal.pdf RFI #14 Stump Removal.pdf
All Replies: Response from Uma Sankar (Carol R Johnson Associates, Inc.) at 11:24 AM on 08/12/2016 Acceptable to surface grind the two stumps at both locations; chemical treatment required only for tree in west location (currently identified to be treated). Attachments:

Stump Removal – South Side of Project
There are two stumps to be removed along the existing fence line at the South side of the property (see attached photos). With the proximity of the stumps to the existing structures removing these stumps mechanically may damage the existing foundations, concrete pads. Grinding the stumps in place may be an option.
