CoAssets hosts Southeast Asia’s major crowdfunding event Expo for Property, Investing and Crowdfunding (EPIC) 2015 -
Attendee numbers doubled and following the event an additional S$8m worth of crowdfunded property deals in the pipeline -
CoAssets Limited (“CoAssets” or the “Company”) (NSX code: CAX), Southeast Asia’s leading crowdfunding platform for real estate, is pleased to confirm the success of its second edition of its Expo for Property, Investing and Crowdfunding (EPIC) event held in Singapore last week. This follows the Company’s recent listing on the National Stock Exchange of Australia (NSX). More than 900 delegates participated in the two day expo, with the number doubled compared to last year’s EPIC 2014, and more than S$8million worth of additional crowdfunded property deals are now in the pipeline as a result of the event. 16 exhibitors from 8 different countries were present, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Mongolia, Cambodia, Australia and the United Kingdom, with Java Land Pte Ltd and Thai Treasures Pte Ltd returning to participate for a second year. While EPIC 2014 focused mainly on real estate investing and crowdfunding, EPIC 2015 covered a wider breadth of topics, including financial technology, digital currency and blockchain technology. A number of talks were given from finance, real estate and crowdfunding industry experts. CoAssets is planning to host a number of EPIC series, including in Malaysia in August and has plans to increase its presence in Australia following the recent NSX listing. Since its launch in Singapore in July 2013, CoAssets has registered more than 11,000 unique users to its website, and has so far enabled S$37million to be invested successfully with an additional S$45+ million in the pipeline.
