Use Overview
Suma® Drain Maintainer will breakdown fats, oils and grease in drains and grease traps. It dissolves organic soils to keep drains running. Best if used with an automated dispensing system.
Drain and Grease Trap Maintenance
`` During initial start-up, manually dilute product at a rate of 1:3
with warm water and pour about 1 gallon (3.8 L) of diluted solution down each floor drain in the facility. `` Dose daily at a rate of 5–30 oz./day (148 mL–887 mL/day) into the drain, trying to get the product past the P-trap in the drain line at the drain closest to the grease trap. `` Dose at the higher end of the range for the first 2 weeks of treatment and then gradually lower the rate as the bacteria population is built in the drain system. `` Odor reduction should be noticeable within 24 hours after the initial dosing.
