TWO Hours of Service In sixth grade, each trimester you are responsible for completing 6 service hours. These hours can be any task that is not part of your normal responsibilities. Did you help a neighbor? Babysit a cousin? Volunteer with your family or troop? Clean grandma’s garage? Complete two hours of service this summer. (They will count towards your first trimester service requirement)
Five Acts of Kindness What are some ways that you kept living our core values over the summer? You can also include instances where you observed someone else acting out of unity, truth, or love.

THREE Tiny Writing Pieces In sixth grade we focus a LOT on writing. It’s important that you don’t lose your skills over the summer so that we can jump right on it when we return in August!

Each writing piece should only be about 1 paragraph in length ( it is summer after all!) They may be typed, or handwritten (in cursive) on binder paper. Make sure that each one has a topic sentence, details, and a concluding sentence. All writing assignments should be stapled to this packet and turned in on the first day of school.
