Summer Improvements @ North Madison Over the summer, North Madison received many improvements to enhance the learning environment for our students. We were very fortunate to receive a QZAB loan, which offers 0% interest for energy efficient improvements. The improvements not only improved air quality at North Madison, but they also have reduced the level of noise in the classrooms and improved the traffic flow in the busiest hall in the building. Each classroom has received a new Ventilation Unit for heating and air conditioning. These units also release air through 4 diffusers in the classroom instead of just 1, this allows for more even air flow and temperature control in the classrooms. In addition, we also received a major makeover in our middle hallway restrooms and moved the hand washing stations outside the restroom area. This change not only increased the number or stalls, but it also has made student management much more efficient. Our thanks to the School Board, Administration, and Johnson Melloh for the success of this project.
