Summer Programs 2017 2017 2017 Jump Start Calculus - Preview AP Calculus Considered the hardest math class in high school, this course is designed to make sure that students have an elementary understanding of how Calculus works. Topics covered are chosen to reflect topics covered on the AP test. Topics include the following:

 Limits, Continuity, and Inverse Functions  Intermediate Value Theorem, Euler's Method, and Rolle's Theorem  Definition of a derivative, Product/Quotient/Chain Rule  Implicit Differentiation, Related Rates, Extrema, and Optimization  1st and 2nd Derivative Test, AP Style Problems  Anti-Derivatives and Indefinite and Definite Integration  Area of a curve, Riemann Sums, and Fundamental Theorem of Calculus  Exponential Differentiation/Integration, Inverse Trigonometry, Slope Fields  Growth/Decay equations, Volume by Disk, and Shell Method, Area Between two curves This course is meant for students who have taken Pre-Calculus and plan on both taking Calculus and getting college credit for the course. All students will receive 90 minutes of lecture per class. Homework assignments are a mandatory part of this course; however, students are encouraged to bring that homework into our Mathnasium Center once a week for homework help. Jump Start Calculus meets Mondays at 7:00 from June 20nd - August 15th. week of July 4th. Price is $359.
