FIRST UNITED METHODIST ANNOUNCEMENTS World Day of Prayer is March 2 Everybody wants to “do something” in light of the recent violent tragedies from across the nation. As Christians part of our “doing” is the power of prayer. The RWF Ministerial is hosting a World Day of Prayer candlelight vigil in the our parking lot on Friday, March 2nd from 3:45-4:00. Please come and join others from across our community as we lift up our prayers.

Sign up today to hit the Mount Kato Slopes! All ages are invited to join in some outdoor fun at Mount Kato in Mankato for skiing, snowboarding or tubing on Sunday, March 4. There is an extra fee for skiing or snowboarding. Financial assistance is available for those who need it. We will carpool, departing from the church at 1 p.m. and returning about 7 p.m. Food and drinks will be on your own. Contact Dean or Angie Wilson at 507-627-2632 to sign up.

Meals on Wheels drivers needed for the end of March First UMC is scheduled to deliver Meals on Wheels on March 19-30. You may sign up in the lobby or call Nadine Marzolf at 637-8598. Please include your phone number in case of changes in the schedule. Thanks for your help as we take part in this important ministry to others!! The first Sunday of every month is Food Shelf Sunday! Bring non-perishable items to church with you next Sunday and place them in the grocery cart in the narthex! The need for our area food shelf continues to grow.
