Welcome

Recently I witnessed another powerful example of Christ-like servanthood at CCCH. At the Men’s Breakfast in March our Children’s Minister, Missy Buche, delivered a passionate talk about the vital role of godly men in Children’s Ministry. Missy spoke about the “superpower,” as she called it from her vantage point, that God has given men to be uniquely gifted to lead kids in magnetic and transformational ways. It was a quite a motivational presentation. Missy really fired up the crowd. One man in attendance who took Missy’s words to heart was Ken Arnold. Ken is in his senior years, and had some honest questions with regard to being as effective as Missy was leading him to believe he could be in ministry to children. But Ken immediately signed up

to be considered for a volunteer at Crosswalk, our worship service for elementary children at 9:00 am on Sundays. (All children’s ministry volunteers at CCCH are first screened with a background check.) Upon his first Sunday in his new role as a small group leader at Crosswalk Ken told Missy, “I had no idea all this was going on for children at our church!” He was blown away by the level of teaching CCCH children receive, the quality of the program, and the place of service he could plug into and make an immediate impact. Missy says the children adore Ken and that the young men in Crosswalk, in particular, respond very positively to his influence and leadership. There is an opportunity of servant leadership for every person at CCCH to plug in with their gifts and passions. If you have not yet found yours, why not start the process of discovery today? You can contact our Minister of Connections, Amado Lobatos ([email protected]), to explore ways to serve, or talk to any of our staff members or ministry team leaders. They would love to assist you in finding a place of meaningful and impactful service.
