SUNY Canton Women’s Hockey Spring Clinic This clinic is aimed at the female hockey players of the North Country. Our goal is to help promote hockey to these young players and to teach them the foundations of hockey in a manner that will be fun for them to learn and easy to retain after the clinic has concluded. We assure up-tempo sessions consisting of drills that will teach and reinforce new and already learned fundamental skills to help them excel in their age group. Along with our on-ice sessions we will have two off-ice session discussing the topics of Sports Nutrition and an intro in Sports Psychology. Both of these talks are open to parents as well. The tradition of girls hockey here in the North Country is already strong and with no end in sight it will only get stronger. Our goal is to help add to that tradition in any way possible. The proceeds from this clinic will go directly back to our program. As many of you know hockey is an expensive sport. Like yourselves our players and parents have put in a significant amount of time and money in to the sport they love and we try to reward them by alleviating all costs that could be associated with playing at the Division III level. The proceeds that are earned are appreciated by all 25 girls on our roster, coaching staff, and our athletic department. Every last penny will be used in a manner that will benefit the young ladies that wear the SUNY Canton crest on their jerseys daily.
