THE POLITICAL ARM OF FREEDOMWORKS
Super PAC playing a key role in Elections You know the stakes are high for our country in 2016. With less than 100 days until the November elections, FreedomWorks for America – FreedomWorks’ Super PAC – is set to play a key role. The good news is, we’ve proven we can make a difference. Already in 2016, FreedomWorks for America played a central role in some important primary season victories – protecting old friends, supporting new leaders and ensuring House moderates feel the wrath from their conservative constituents – including: COLORADO U.S. SENATE: Darryl Glenn, a retired Air Force officer, won a heated five-way primary for U.S. Senate in Colorado. He defeated several moderate candidates including one handpicked by Mitch McConnell and the Republican establishment. Glenn now takes on liberal Democrat Michael Bennet and is the only grassroots conservative running for Senate who has a real chance of winning in November. FreedomWorks for America spent around $30,000 to push Glenn to victory, mostly through phone ID, persuasion and get out the vote, as well as compelling online ads to turn out Glenn supporters. INDIANA’S THIRD CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT: State Sen. Jim Banks won a crowded Republican primary in Indiana’s Third Congressional District to succeed Rep. Marlin Stutzman. Banks, a military veteran, is strongly committed to constitutional principles and pro-growth policies. OHIO’S EIGHTH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT: In March, Warren Davidson, a military veteran and small business owner, won the Republican primary to replace former House Speaker John Boehner. Then, in June, Davidson won the Special Election to fill the seat, easily defeating his Democratic opponent. Davidson is a marked improvement over the previous occupant of the seat. He is a patriot and deeply committed to continuing service to his district and the nation in the House.
NORTH CAROLINA’S SECOND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT: There was no denying that Rep. Renee Ellmers was one of the worst Republicans in the House, which is why FreedomWorks for America mobilized to defeat her. Ellmers has an abysmal 61 percent lifetime score with FreedomWorks. We spent nearly $20,000 and provided crucial activist support to help Rep. George Holding, who has an 85 percent lifetime score with FreedomWorks. This rare incumbent versus incumbent primary, due to court-mandated redistricting in North Carolina, was barely a contest. Holding won with more than 53 percent of the vote in a three-way race, handing fiscal conservatives across the nation a key primary victory in 2016.

INVESTOR IMPACT REPORT
NORTH CAROLINA’S THIRD CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT: FreedomWorks for America spent more than $16,000 to support Rep. Walter Jones in his primary race against an establishment-backed challenger who, just two years before, came close to unseating the fiscally conservative incumbent. Rep. Jones is a rare example of a member who has become increasingly more fiscally conservative while he has served in Congress. He scored 90 percent or higher on FreedomWorks’ scorecard since 2013. Jones easily dispatched his opponent, taking nearly 65 percent of the vote.
VIRGINIA’S SEVENTH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT: After taking on and defeating House Minority Leader Eric Cantor in 2014, Virginia’s establishment wanted nothing more than to take out Rep. Dave Brat during the 7th District Convention. Prior to the convention, FreedomWorks for America spent more than $62,000 to support Brat with television ads, yard signs, literature, and delegate organizing for the convention. Thanks to FreedomWorks for America’s efforts, Brat’s opponent dropped out of the race.

As always, what we can do depends on what we’re able to raise. Your continued support for FreedomWorks for America will be critical. As the only FreedomWorks’ entity that can use funds directly for the election or defeat of a candidate, this is your opportunity to support the true fiscal heroes who will bring our country back from the brink.
