SUPPLY LIST AND CLASS POLICIES Embellishing Wall Quilts Saturday, April 23, 2016, 10am-12:30pm or 1-3:30pm Heidi Zielinski Embellishing 1 - Dangles and Beaded Fringe Class 1. 12” x 15” quilt sandwich, muslin front and back w/ flat batting (like Warm & Natural) – Cut one piece of muslin 12-1/2”x15” and then cut it the long way (15”) about 4” down from the top. Cut a separate 15” long and 7/8” wide strip of fabric of your choice for a flange and press it in half lengthwise. Stitch muslin back together with folded piece of fabric in the seam to create a flange. Press quarter inch seam towards the top. Attach a binding in fabric of your choice to bottom long edge. Pin baste the sandwich in corners or thread baste with long stitches (or spray baste if you are familiar with that method). SEE SAMPLE 2. Assorted Seed Beads, Bugle Beads and medium stone/glass beads (if you have them---instructor will have some available) 3. Thimble 4. Small scissors

Kit Fee: $8.00

+ Instructor will have assortment of beads available for students to use.

Embellishing 2 - Couching, Hand Embroidery, Needle Felting Class 12” x 12” quilt sandwich, muslin w/ flat batting (like Warm & Natural) – pin baste in corners or thread baste Thimble Small Scissors Thread Needle(s) for Hand Embroidery Needle threader if desired Approx. 8”x8” piece of wool or wool felt

Instructor will provide the following to use in class (no kit): Yarn/Cord, Embroidery Floss, Wool Roving, Felting Needles, Foam for Hand Needle Felting, Needle Felting Machine, Bandaids (just kidding!)
