(i.e. Metter Silk Finish or Aurifil) Black if your background is black, otherwise neutral Size 80 or 90 Sharp Sewing Machine Needles Template Plastic the length of your add-a-quarter ruler x 3-5 inches Cutting Mat & Rotary Cutter 12-1/2” square ruler & a 6” x 12” or 6” x 24” Ruler Small Iron & Ironing Mat (may not be used for the first class) Sewing machine (may not be used for the first class) Best Press – Not required just nice to have! Fabric Scissors, Paper Scissors Pen or/and Pencil for note taking Large Resalable Plastic Bags – Like Ziploc Sharpie Marker – Any dark Color As many binder clips that you can put your hands on, the more the better - various sizes Snips, Pins, Tiny Trash, Snacks, any other essential sewing supplies…chocolate No preparation prior to class is required. Read the pattern if you wish, but don’t worry if you haven’t by class time. When you get to class the first day, do not set-up your sewing machine. If you would like to start pressing your fabric, keep them in the order they are listed on your pattern. The best and the most important part about this pattern is the organization. For the best results possible being organized is key. It may sound grueling, but essential and not so bad once you go through the process.
