Supply List for Starry, Starry Night Stack 'n Whack
Starry Night Stack ‘n Whack Supply List We will make twelve blocks which will be about 9” unfinished. The size will vary depending on your personal starry night star! Please bring the following to both classes:
Pen and/or pencil and paper Your rotary cutter, new blade will help Rulers 6 x 24 and 12 x12 (or 12 1/2 x 12 1/2) Notions including neutral thread and your sewing machine
For fabric, the idea here is contrast. The sample uses black on white and white on black. You could also use yellow and blue, light green and dark green, or reds and greens. Again, make sure you have contrast between one and the other set.
12 fat quarters – 6 in one color and 6 in the contrasting color will work. You may also use 1/3 yard cuts of 12 fabrics, keeping in mind the contrast for your stars. You will have left overs for your sashing, etc.
I usually wait on backing and binding, but do like to get enough fabric for the borders. You may prefer to see what your starry night calls for. Please let me know if you have questions or comments. I look forward to seeing you! Sydney Hoard, 425.985.1375
