SEVENTH GRADE SUPPLY LIST 2014-2015 Middle School teachers have requested the items listed below. Students should purchase these items in advance of the first day of class. Additional items may be requested when classes begin. You are encouraged to reuse supplies from previous years!

GENERAL SUPPLIES FOR ALL CLASSES:   

  

Homework Assignment Book (student’s choice) USB flash/thumb data storage drive w/ at least 128MB. You may use one from last year. Please label with your first and last name. 12-inch transparent ruler (inches & millimeters) Lined loose-leaf notebook paper – Please make sure that you put some paper in each of your binders, then keep the rest at home and use it to replenish your notebooks throughout the school year. 1 box of tissues – To be given to your advisor (not available at the School Store) A large zippered pencil case, labeled with your name, and all of the following items: o Glue Stick o Scissors o Pencils (if mechanical, extra lead) o Blue or Black Pens o Highlighters (at least 2 colors)

COURSE-SPECIFIC SUPPLIES: PE Students are not required to purchase the new gray shirts; they may reuse last year’s uniform instead. Please contact Robin Lowe at [email protected] if you are interested in purchasing used uniforms.

1 pair black PE shorts (purchase at School Store for $25.95) 2 gray unisex PE shirts (purchase at School Store for $23.95 each) Girls only: mouth guard and shin guards (soccer and/or field hockey; available at School Store)

Social Studies

   

System for taking notes, like a 3-ring binder with pockets or a spiral-bound notebook (may be shared with another class) System for storing handouts, like a 3-ring binder; an accordion file is NOT recommended (may be shared with another class) Marble composition notebook 4 folders with pockets

Language Arts

 

1 labeled section in a binder for class handouts (may be shared with another class) 1 spiral-bound notebook with at least two sections



½ inch 3-ring binder (Freas-Kostic only; to be kept in the classroom for drafts of writing)

Science

  Math 

 

1 – 1½ inch 3-ring binder with dividers (may be shared with another class) Pocket folder that can be put into the binder

1 inch 3-ring binder with inside pockets Quad-ruled spiral-bound notebook Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus graphing calculator. This calculator will be used in all math classes, grades 7-12.

Human Sexuality  3-ring binder (can be medium sized or part of a large binder)  Five dividers  Double pocket folder  Package of 4 dry erase markers (red, blue, green, black)

Please note that several classes require a three–ring binder. Students may use one larger binder if they would like to consolidate supplies. Math classes do require a separate math-only binder.
