Stock Installation Point the rifle in a safe direction and place the safety in the "on" position. Next remove the magazine, pull back the bolt, and carefully inspect the chamber to be sure the rifle is unloaded. Step #1 Loosen the barrel screw and slide the barrel band off. Remove the take-down screw on the bottom of the stock and set it asided, you will reuse it with the Fiberforce stock.
Figure 1 Step #2 Remove the barreled action by lifting it out of the wood stock. CAUTION: The pin holding the trigger group to the action is a floating fit and may fall out.
Step #4 Align the rear and front tabs of the stock with those on the handguard until both pieces snap into place.
Figure 3 Step #5 Reinstall the original take-down screw and tighten.
Step #3 Install the barreled action into the Fiberforce stock. NOTE: If a problem develops in getting the receiver seated, check the safety button to be sure it is not catching on the stock, also check to be sure the trigger group pin is flush.

ADHESIVE PAD INSTALLATION Point the rifle in a safe direction and place the safety in the "on" position. Next remove the magazine, pull back the bolt, and carefully inspect the chamber to be sure the rifle is unloaded. Step #1 Begin by using the supplied alcohol swab to clean the cheekrest area on both sides of the stock.
Figure 1 Step #2 Wait 30 minutes until the alcohol is dried. Remove the backing from the adhesive pad and align the pad to the stock.

Step #3 Continue to align the pad to the stock. Keep slight tension on the pad and bring the the pad around the surface of the stock.
Figure 3 Step #4 Use your thumb to remove any air bubbles in the pad and to firmly press and secure the adhesive pad onto the cheekrest.
