SVS Prime Elevation – The World’s Most Versatile Home Theater Speaker o The SVS Prime Elevation takes speaker versatility to new heights. Designed to play nearly any role in a multichannel audio system amazingly well, its adaptable design pioneers an entirely new category of speaker and delivers significant performance and ease-of-installation advantages over existing height effect and other surround sound speakers. Height Effects Speaker Up-Firing or Down-Firing Center Channel Speaker or L-C-R Side-Firing or Rear-Firing Surround Speaker o Superior Solution for Height Effects and other Surround Channels Most object-based height surround speakers rely on a problematic technique in which soundwaves radiating from below direct up to the ceiling and are required to “bounce” back your ears. This requires perfect room conditions, and will not work for all seating positons. Plus, the speakers need to be frequency response limited to approximate the desired effect.
