ASSEMBLY IMPORTANT! BEFORE CLEANING YOUR TABLE SAW OR CARRYING OUT ANY MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE, MAKE SURE THAT THE MOTOR IS OFF AND THE TOOL DISCONNECTED FROM THE POWER SUPPLY TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL STARTING.

Assembling the base frame Note: The Table Saw comes supplied with M6 nuts, bolts and washers required to assemble the unit. Note: Assembly of the base frame requires 6 bolts, 6 washers and 4 nuts for each of the base frame legs.

1. Turn the table saw upside down and place it on the floor. (Ensure the blade is wound fully down before turning the saw upside down).

2. Ensure that the rectangular plastic cleats on the table saw sit within the rectangular slots at the top of the base frame legs. These cleats assist in support as well as alignment.

3. Attach the legs to the table saw with the supplied bolts and washers. Only hand tighten at this stage, as some movement in the legs will assist in aligning the cross struts.

4. When aligning the cross struts to the base frame legs, ensure that the shorter edge is facing the table saw, and the longer edge is facing the feet of the legs. Note: The longer struts need to be used on the sides of the table saw. 3

5. Loosely fix the 4 cross struts to the base frame legs, using the nuts, bolts and washers supplied.

6. Finally, tighten all the nuts on the base frame to ensure steadiness. Use the supplied spanner where required, but be careful not to over tighten as this may result in damage to the base frame legs.

Fitting the feet 1. When attaching the rubber feet to the bottom of the base frame legs, first slide the foot onto the inside of the leg at a right angle to the leg.

2. Rotate the foot so that the sides and bottom of the leg slip into the slots and folds of the rubber foot.

Attaching the stabilising brackets 1. The Table Saw is supplied with 2 stabilising brackets. 2 bolts, 2 nuts and 2 washers are required to attach each bracket to the bottom of a base frame leg.

2. The stabilising brackets can be fixed to any side of the table saw base frame depending on your requirement, but need to be parallel to each other.

4

Attaching the table extensions The table saw is supplied with one rear table extension (326 x 440mm), and two side table extensions (250 x 640mm). 1. Using the nuts, bolts and washers supplied, attach a table extension to the main saw table. Each table extension will require 2 bolts, 2 washers and 2 nuts.

2. The support struts are positioned diagonally between the top of the leg and the inside of the exterior edge of the table extension.

3. There are 2 support struts for each table extension. When attaching the support struts to the table extensions, use the nuts, bolts and washers supplied. Each support strut will require 1 bolt, 1 nut and 1 washer. Note: There are 4 short and 2 long support struts. The 2 longer support struts are intended for the rear table extension. 4. When attaching the support struts to the bottom of the table saw, you will first need to remove the bolt and washer that connect the leg to the table saw. If the table is in an upright position, ensure that it is supported by one other bolt before attaching a strut.

5. Each base frame leg and support strut share the same fixing hole.

5

Fitting the blade guard 1. M ount the blade guard on the riving knife so that the screw fits through the hole in the riving knife. Do not tighten the screw too far – the blade guard must be able to move freely.

IMPORTANT! THE BLADE GUARD MUST ALWAYS BE LOWERED OVER THE WORKPIECE BEFORE YOU BEGIN TO CUT.

Fitting the dust extractor hose 2. Fasten the dust extractor hose to the extractor adapter and to the extractor socket of the blade guard. A suitable extractor system has to be connected to the outlet of the extractor adapter.

3. A dust extractor hose brace has been supplied with the Table Saw. This stops the hose from moving while the unit is in operation.

4. If there is no side table extension attached to the right hand side of the table saw, the dust extractor hose brace can be attached to the rear, right hand side of the saw table. 5. If there is a side table extension attached to the right hand side of the table saw, the dust extractor hose brace can be attached to the rear of the side table extension. 6. The dust extractor hose brace requires 2 nuts, 2 bolts and 2 washers

Mounting the rip fence 1. The rip fence is a guide used when making longitudinal cuts in wooden workpieces.

2. W hen attaching the rip fence to the table saw, position it so that it sits parallel to the blade. It can be used on either side of the blade.

3. The rip fence will sit comfortably within the guide rail. It can be easily slid up and down the scale, depending on the desired width of cut.

4. To lock the rip fence in position, simply push the rip fence lever downwards as far as it will go.

7

Mounting the sliding mitre gauge 1. The sliding mitre gauge assists the user in making miter cuts in wooden workpieces.

2. To insert the miter gauge, slide it into one of the two grooves in the surface of the saw table.

3. Depending on the required cut, the miter gauge can be positioned on either side of the blade.

4. The miter gauge is able to slide up and down the table, enabling the user to guide the workpiece towards the blade.
