NPF Tagging 101 Tagging is an important part of our fundraising for each season and even for post season events. It is the best way for us to be visible in our community and to collect money at 100% profit. As a nonprofit organization, Nashua PAL Force relies on fundraising and donations to cover our expenses.
What is tagging? Tagging is when a local establishment has given us permission to stand on their property and request donations from their patrons. How do I sign up? You sign up for your tagging spot via the online Sign Up Genius. If you do not have access to a computer, please see your team parent and they can sign up for you. What do I use to collect money? Tagging cans will be assembled by our Fundraising Director. Half an hour prior to your tagging time you will arrive at the can pick up location to check out your can. As soon as your tagging shift is over, you will return the can to the drop off spot. *Please return cans immediately following your shift (do not stop for lunch, etc). *Please do not attempt to open the cans to count the money inside. All monies are counted by two board members to ensure accuracy.
TAGGING ETIQUETTE It is extremely important for us to maintain good relationships with the businesses that were kind enough to allow us to tag outside of their establishment. Please make sure you are following the basic tagging rules. Always wear your NPF uniform. Always have an adult chaperoning with you (not waiting in the car). Always greet every customer with a smile. Always state who you are collecting for (“Would you like to donate to Nashua PAL Force?”) Always say “Thank you” even if they do not donate. Always try not to ask the same customer to donate twice (on the way in and again on the way out). Always be on your best behavior. Refrain from running in the parking lot, blocking the door, goofing around while customers are entering/exiting. Always remain standing. If there are benches at your tagging location, please do not use them. Always have your parents park either off the property of the establishment or at the furthest parking spot. Always be prepared to tell a customer what you like best about cheering/football.
