Tea from Loose Tea Leaves Courtesy of Habanera Farm What you need      

Water A kettle or pan to boil water A tea filter or tea egg A measuring spoon A mug or teapot Ice if you make ice tea

Boil water Measure the amount of tea, following the label Add the loose tea to the filter, teabag, or tea egg Hang the bag/egg/filter in the tea pot or tea mug For hot tea: add 1 cup boiling water for 1 cup of tea (8 ounces). Green teas require a lower water temperature. For iced tea: add 1 cup boiling water for 3 cups of tea. 6. Let the tea sit in the water for the advised time ( = steeping) 7. Take the tea leaves out 8. For iced tea: Add 1 cup of cold water and 1 cup of ice
