Big issues this month: cyberbullying, feminism, learn about the value of edible insects. They are not only kind to the environment (less land and water needed to farm them), nutritious (lots of protein and vitamins), and cheap, but they taste good too! Several groups are doing cooking shows and films about the value of edible insects. Stay tuned!
Bottled Water We are discovering the dangers of bottled water. The bottles leech chemicals and require massive amounts of oil to make them. Bottled water usually comes from the tap and is checked for safety less than tap! Oh, and it costs 1200X more than tap. Students are creating a variety of projects about this issue including website hacks, animations, and a film.
