The solution does not control the driver’s actions or impede their driving. The driver is always able to edit logs where necessary, override violation notices and provide reason codes for their edits. All edits are reviewed by supervising managers and are logged within the application for audit purposes and roadside inspections.
Automatic duty status update TELUS Fleet Complete HoS is configured to detect movement over 8 km/h and automatically update driver’s duty status to Driving. The solution includes
integral synchronization to interface with the vehicle’s engine ECM, to automatically capture engine power status, vehicle motion status, miles driven and engine hours as per the ELD requirements.

Roadside inspection mode During a roadside inspection, a driver is able to lock the TELUS Fleet Complete HoS application for the inspector’s review and only display information required for the inspection, keeping all other data private and secure.
Driver Vehicle Inspection Report management TELUS Fleet Complete HoS allows drivers to perform Pre- and Post-Trip vehicle inspections, log any minor or major defects in the app and send an electronic
notification to the fleet manager and/or mechanic for service requests.
Connectivity and data sharing TELUS Fleet Complete HoS app is available on both Android and iPhone devices, eliminating costs of proprietary mobile devices. Operating on smart devices allows convenient sharing of HoS logs between the TELUS Fleet Complete HoS and other apps on your smartphone or tablet, such as email, printer, Dropbox, etc. All you need is a smart device with a high speed data plan.
Alerts and notifications TELUS Fleet Complete HoS app is configured to alert the driver of upcoming violations at measured intervals providing the driver with an option to override the warnings and the violation alert with a reason code. The notification of the violation is sent to the manager and the violation is logged in the driver’s record of duty status along with the reason code.
