Finishing a Tree Skirt • Leave one seam open to slip around your tree. • Add a ruffle or trim to the edge if desired. • Bind the center opening and open sides.

Finishing a Round Quilt Center Applique • Iron a scrap of freezer paper onto the wrong side of the center opening of your circular project to stabilize the opening. • Using a compass, draw a 6" circle onto a second piece of freezer paper. • Iron the paper circle to the wrong side of the center fabric square. • Trim to ¼" beyond the edge of the freezer paper. • Turn the fabric edge to the other side of paper to create a folded edge. • Applique in place. • Quilt and bind as desired.
