A textural experience. Informed by honest materials, such as raw stones and hidden fractures in the earth, Tephra brings a familiar feeling of comfort. Its sculpted organic texture creates an experiential space, placing focus on how Tephra feels, as much as how it looks. The experience is heightened by a mix of high- and lowcontrast plied yarns and softly shifting color—a combination that enhances our senses and elevates our mood.

Designed as a line extension to the IxD Series, Tephra works beautifully with color coordinate Input to create shifts in pattern and texture within the floor plane. With the addition of 5 new colorways, Input has one-to-one color matches with Tephra and is ideal for spaces where a lower tip-sheared texture is desired.

Suzanne Tick is the founder of Suzanne Tick Inc., specializing in materials brand strategy, product design, development, and direction for commercial interiors. Her designs, across product platforms, have won numerous design awards and continue to break new ground in the industry. In addition to her work in commercial interiors, Suzanne maintains a hand weaving practice and creates woven sculptures from repurposed materials. Her work is exhibited worldwide, including MoMA and Art Basel, as well as collected by private and corporate clients. A portion of the carpet sales for every Suzanne Tick design installed in K-12 and higher education environments is donated to Publicolor in NYC. Learn more at publicolor.org.
