Texas Tech Application FEE Waiver
Application Fee Waiver Certification for Freshman Applicants This form should be completed by your High School Counselor or Administrator
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions supports a Fee Waiver program for qualifying students. This waiver covers the cost of Application to Texas Tech University. In seeking a waiver for the application fee to the institution, please consider the following criteria: To qualify, an applicant must be a United States Citizen, permanent resident, or a student identified under Senate Bill 1528 (79th Legislature, 2005) as a resident of Texas. International applicants do not qualify for this fee waiver. Students seeking a post baccalaureate undergraduate degree do not qualify for this waiver. Additionally, an applicant seeking to qualify for the fee waiver must demonstrate that the application fee presents a significant financial hardship and meet at least one of the following criteria (please check all that apply):

1. Student is a ward of the state (or orphan). 2. Student is in an organized TRIO program (e.g., Upward Bound, Talent Search) and meets low income eligibility criteria to participate in a federal TRIO program under the program guidelines. 3. Student’s family receives public assistance- TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families). 4. Student lives in subsidized public housing, a foster home, or is homeless. 5. SAR (Student Aid Report) from the student’s FAFSA submission indicates zero EFC (Estimated Family Contribution). 6. The student meets the reduced/free lunch eligibility requirements set forth by the Food and Nutrition Service agency (FNS) of the United States Department of Agriculture:
