TFC SOCCER TENNIS EVENT Tupelo Fútbol Club is pleased to announce that it will host a Soccer Tennis Event on Tuesday, January 17th at the Rob Leake City Park Tennis Courts! The tennis courts are covered by a weather proof bubble so weather is not an issue! This event is for all eligible U11-U14 TFC players at no additional cost! Please see details below!

Benefits of Soccer Tennis:
Tournament Format – Teams will be formed by staff coaches for the tournament. Players will keep score and referee the games themselves (with assistance of TFC staff coaches on site). Players will earn 3 points for each win and 1 point for each tie. Possible playing formats are 2v2 or 3v3. Should there be substitutes, players will sub themselves. Players keep track of their team’s points. Winners will be determined after completion of the last game. A prize will be given to each player on the winning team. Players should wear tennis shoes or indoor soccer shoes and a white shirt as well as bring a water bottle to the event.
Soccer tennis is a soccer-style game that combines the sports of volleyball and tennis. It helps improve technical skills such as a player’s first touch and ball control. Teaches teamwork as players must communicate constantly with teammates in order to achieve a common goal. Enhances different tactical aspects of soccer as it forces players to make quality decisions such as how to receive the ball and how best to strike the ball to score. Safe, enjoyable game that fosters competition and breeds creativity.
