at the Peabody Essex Museum The breathtaking Atrium is the heart of the museum. An arched glass roof soars dramatically overhead, pulling the eye and the spirit upward. This central gathering place recalls the traditional New England village green. Cocktails 7–8 pm (earliest start time) Dinner and dancing 8 pm–midnight Enjoy cocktails with the feel of the outdoors and a view of the sky followed by dinner and dancing in this dramatic space. * Price reflects a 20 percent discount on weekend rental rates because of PEM’s upcoming expansion project. Discount does not apply to events prior to August 1, 2016. The project will run from August 1, 2016, through 2019, during which time East India Marine Hall, Bartlett and Copeland Galleries, the Asian Garden and spiral staircase will not be accessible.
