Come and Worship! We celebrate with worship on Sunday worship at 10 a.m. Sunday School at 10 a.m. And Mondays at 6 p.m. OFFICE HOURS: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Greetings Everyone, Spring has arrived and so with it a lot of activities here at United Lutheran. In the beginning of the month we continue our Lenten journey as we reflect on our faith. We then move into Holy Week starting on April 9th with Palm Sunday. Then on April 16th we celebrate Easter Sunday. I am excited and full of energy to accompany everyone during this time. As I reflect on the importance and excitement around these events it is because of the extreme importance that they bring. In this time, we not only celebrate the overall life of Christ, but we also focus on his death and resurrection. As important as Christ’s life was to live and teach amongst us, His death and resurrection are also equally important to our faith. This is because in Christ death becomes not only the sacrifices in which God gives for us but points to the ultimate high glory of God in our world. The fact God in Christ dies a physical death, like we do, is amazing, but He also sacrifices Himself to provide us with the forgiveness of sin. As for the resurrection of Christ, that unto itself is amazing and is the ultimate sign of God’s power and conquering of death. Christ’s life, sacrifice, death and amazing resurrection are equally important. The celebration of Easter is the celebration of the resurrected Christ. We as Christians are known as Easter people, the ones who celebrate and believe in the risen Christ. So, not only do we on a regular basis act out Easter, but we also specifically designate a time in the season to overemphasize our faith in the risen Christ. This is why Easter is such an important time for us as Christians, because we get to ecstatically celebrate who we are and what we believe in. So I hope to see everyone come Sunday April 16th at 8am or 10am services ecstatically celebrating our risen Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Now for the month of April may God continue to bless us and inspire us in all that we do. Sincerely, Pastor John

United is going to purchase Easter Lilies and we are asking you to make a monetary donation to the Flower Fund. We will purchase the plants that are needed. That way we will know how many we can count on having. There will still be an insert in the bulletin stating that a donation was given “In loving memory, ….” just like in prior years. To make a donation, put your money (whatever amount you would have spent on a plant) in an envelope, mark it EASTER LILY, and include the information you want in the bulletin. Then just drop it in the offering plate or bring it to the office.
