The Formula with a Heart for Kiwanis. Celebrate What's Right with Kiwanis. At the heart of everything we do, it's the children and youth of our communities and the world that is Kiwanis. The Formula Love it. Share it. Live it. Take something you love, share it with others, and make it a part of your life. The formula is a member-led Initiative to strengthen Kiwanis membership in existing clubs and to expand Kiwanis' reach to communities that do not yet have the benefit of a Kiwanis Club. DISTRICT CHAIR Provides direction and support for club opening and increasing membership. Collaborates with district leadership to develop goals for new clubs, membership strength and recognition. Leads The Formula district team. LT GOVERNORS ROLE Supports district chair by helping identify club openers and club counselors. Leads, supports and coordinates in his or her division with club openers, club counselors, club presidents and membership chairs. Work with club presidents and membership chairs to promote our Heart of Kiwanis culture through the use of our 5 themes-Service, Relationships, Fun, Action, and Inclusiveness. CLUB OPENERS ROLE Collaborates with the Division Lt Governor and Club Counselor to develop a timetable and strategy for a new club site. Participates in growth planning meetings with the division Lt Governor and growth team members. Acts as a frontline Ambassador for Kiwanis. Mentors potential new club builders. CLUB COUNSELORS ROLE Works with Lt Governor to mentor clubs when asked. Advisor to new and struggling clubs. Communicates and/or attends meetings and activities at least once a month. Utilizes strategies of The Heart of Kiwanis such as positive stories and the Plan of Action-(appreciative inquiry) method as well as suggested ideas from KI offered in the Club Counselor training. Supports the club opening process from the beginning until the club is strong and independent. We can not start over but we can begin now, and make a new ending. Zig Ziegler
