In honor of our first-ever Hotels Week, we’ve rounded up the newest and most interesting hotels to open up in our tourist-trafficked sunny metropolis over approximately the last year. From a bunch of new South Beach spots, to a very high end, and very large luxury resort in Bal Harbour, to a seriously hip hostel (yes, a hostel), and the first Portuguese-owned hotel in the U.S. these places run the gamut. THE FREEHAND MIAMI Okay the Freehand Miami is technically a hostel, and the Hotel Heatmap is about hotels, but this place raises the bar for hostels by like a million degrees. Built by the guy that did the Ace Hotels, the Freehand was also designed by Roman & Williams, and has a bar by the hip bar company ‘Bar Lab.’
