Prayer Reminders Pray for Pastor Dan and our Czech Team of 17 students and adults as they are in the Czech Republic, July 18—August 1. They are hosting two camps—a Family Camp for parents and children, and an English Camp for students. Pray for Pastor Dan and the team to experience the power and leading of God’s Spirit as they minister in the city of Vsetin.

2. ___________________________ (v 10-14)

Pray for our Summer Kids For Christ Club that will be held this Monday through Friday. We are expecting over 100 kids to participate and need many volunteers to make this possible. Pray for the kids & their families to experience the love of Christ. Pray for our GAPs (Groups for All People) as we seek to make disciples this summer in an intentionally cross-cultural context. Ask the Lord to guide us as we pursue the possibility of planting a new multi-ethnic church plant in Storm Lake with Hope EFC. Pray for Al Pedersen, Becky Coyle, Barb Pewsey, Don Fisher, and others in need of God’s healing touch, including many friends & loved ones of the Summit Church family.

FAMILY FAITH TALK—Profiles of Grace During the week, seek to talk together about the people God used in 1 Kings 17:7-16. The questions progress from targeting younger children (#s 1 & 2) to targeting teens (#s 5 & 6). 1.

How did God take care of Elijah?

2.

How did God take care of the Widow?

3.

Talk about a time when you saw God provide for your family.

4.

Do you think it was difficult to trust Elijah’s words about an oil jar that would ever run out of oil? Why?

5.

How would Elijah feel about obeying God and then living where the brook had dried up? How would he feel about being sent to a poor widow to be taken care of?

6.

What role does faith play in Elijah’s obedience to God?
