The Horn Cable Stitch Description The Horn Cable Stitch is a simple cable pattern that creates a column of stacked “V’s” that look like horns. It’s easily modified to be done without a cable needle, so it is a good cable stitch for beginners. It is perfect as an accent on a sweater, or as part of an aran afghan.

c2f - Cable 2 Front: Slip one st onto cable needle and hold to front, k1, k1 off of cable needle c2b - Cable 2 Back: Slip one st onto cable needle and hold to back, k1, k1 off of cable needle

RT - Right Twist

Abbreviations K - Knit P - Purl

LT - Left Twist

Pattern Instructions Cast On: Panel of 6 sts on a reverse stockinette background

Without a cable needle:

Row 1 (RS): K1, C2B, C2F, k1 Row 2: P6 Row 3: C2B, k2, C2F Row 4: P6

Row 1 (RS): K1, RT, LT, k1 Row 2: P6 Row 3: RT, k2, LT Row 4: P6
