The Hunchback of Notre Dame By Victor Hugo Adapted for the stage by Neil Duffield Directed by Amy Wyllie
If you are aged 16-25 and are looking for an exciting acting challenge, then we want to hear from you! We are looking for 15 actors for this new project, so sign up for auditions at the Theatre Royal on either: Friday 16th May – 4.50pm - 6.40pm or Sunday 18th May – 2.00pm – 4.00pm Register for auditions by contacting Amy Wyllie on [email protected] or 01284 829933 with details of which audition date you’d like to attend. There is a £15 commitment fee to participate in this project if you are successful in gaining a role. This production is a fast-paced and thrilling adaptation of Victor Hugo’s classic novel, and is certainly NOT the Disney version! It will be an opportunity for the talented and emerging young actors of this region to explore some fascinating characters and really challenge their performance potential, in this moving and raw production. You will need to be able to commit to this production over quite a long period: We will begin rehearsals over a 3 day intensive period in the May Half Term (27th, 29th and 30th May). Regular weekly rehearsals will then begin after Half Term on Monday and Tuesday evenings (commencing 2nd June) with the VERY occasional Sunday. Rehearsals WILL NOT happen during the school summer holidays Regular weekly rehearsals will resume (on Mondays and Tuesdays) in September Production week and performances from Monday 27th October – Thursday 30th October If cast in this production, you WILL NOT be required for all rehearsals, and a more detailed rehearsal schedule will be provided once casting offers have been made. However, please make sure that you are available for the majority of the above, and certainly the following dates: Monday 27th – all day and evening Tuesday 28th – evening only Wednesday 29th – all day and evening Thursday 30th – all day and evening
