THE LEADERSHIP CIRCLE PROFILE™ Welcome to The Leadership Circle 360. This is an online survey designed to accelerate leadership effectiveness beyond traditional competency‐based approaches. When it comes to developing leaders, training to competencies alone does not work very well. For sustainable results, as leaders we need a deeper insight into our behaviour and what is driving it. The Leadership Circle Profile™ is the only 360 degree competency assessment that simultaneously provides focused competency feedback while revealing the underlying assumptions that are causing our patterns of strengths and limitations. The Leadership Circle Profile helps leaders understand the relationship between how they habitually think, how they behave, and, more importantly, how all this impacts current levels of leadership effectiveness. We are looking forward to working closely with you through this process to ensure the outcomes for you and your organisation absolutely justify the investment of time and energy for you and your feedback providers. You will shortly receive an email from
[email protected]. Your account is setup and you can begin to complete the process upon receipt of this email. We suggest you add this address to your email address book to avoid the notification going into spam. This email will direct you to The Leadership Circle website where you can follow the prompts to complete the survey. You will be asked to rate yourself (the ‘Self’ survey) and to choose some other people to evaluate your leadership behaviours (Evaluator survey). A guideline for selecting Evaluators is attached. Select people who know you well and whose opinion you value, or are interested in. We have drafted an email that you can send to your Evaluators asking them to participate in the survey on your behalf (please see text below). Please ensure you have correct email addresses for your Evaluators and that they have access to a computer and are able to complete the survey for you (eg. are not on leave). You will need to add your selected Evaluators to the survey site. Click the Evaluator Setup button. You need one completed Boss survey, one completed Boss’s Boss survey (if you have one), three completed Peer surveys, three completed Direct Report surveys, and three completed 'Other' surveys. After you enter your Evaluator information, we will periodically send reminder emails to your Evaluators who have unfinished surveys. The date for completing the survey is 30 September 2016. Please allow at least a week for your Evaluators to complete their surveys. The completed reports are then sent to your respective coaches and they will debrief you during your one‐on‐one session with them. We’d like you to complete the surveys as soon as possible. We can monitor your report’s progress and will prompt you if it’s incomplete and time is running out for your coach to debrief you.

Guidelines for Selecting Evaluators and for completing the Leadership Circle Profile include: Ideally your Evaluators will be people who will provide you with honest feedback. The goal being to receive feedback from at least ten people in the following categories: Boss’s Boss: 1 or more completed surveys needed to view breakout data on report Boss: 1 or more completed surveys needed to view breakout data on report Peers: 3 or more completed surveys needed to view breakout data on report Direct Reports: 3 or more completed surveys needed to view breakout data on report Others (such as clients or colleagues in another setting): 3 or more completed surveys needed to view breakout data on report N.B. 1: We recommend that you ask at least 4 or 5 Evaluators for each of the categories ‐ Peers, Direct Reports and Others, just in case 1 Evaluator is unable to complete the survey. Breakout data and reports will only be provided for each of these categories if 3 or more surveys are completed. N.B. 2: Feedback from Boss’s Boss and Boss will be separated out and may not be anonymous if only one Boss’s Boss and/or Boss responds. Given that feedback directly impacts the quality of the information received, it is important that individuals selected: Know you well Are trustworthy and credible Have good intentions ‐ sincerely want to help you learn more about yourself Understand your job responsibilities and areas of influence Can describe you in relation to the many roles you play on the job We suggest that you contact the individuals you are requesting feedback from (like you would a reference), to explain: The Leadership Circle Profile 360 survey process you are participating in Why their feedback would be valuable in your leadership development and ask if they are willing to give you feedback That their survey answers are confidential and reported as a group response (except for Boss and Boss's Boss) It will take approximately 25‐30 minutes of their time to complete That the survey process is completed entirely online and you need their email address and also that they have internet access The feedback request email is coming from you and a system generated request will come from
