The Lent Season Programs “The Journey of Transformation”
Holy Cross - St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church at
3740 Meridian Street will be celebrating the following services, and ALL are welcome to attend. We invite all of our Alabama A & M University Students, Faculty/Staff and your families to come, worship with us as we all Praise His Honor and Glory during this Lent season.
February 13th 2013 (12:00 noon and 5:00pm Services)
Ash Wednesday:
(Matthew 6:1-6; 12-21). (12:00 noon and 5:00pm Services) The Rite of Reconciliation of a Penitent and Healing/Anointing Services will be offered before and after each service. (BCP 447/455)
February 17th, 2013 (9:30AM: Biblical discussion of Luke 4:1-13 by The Rev. Dr. Basye Holland-Shuey) followed by the 10:30 AM Holy Eucharist Service.
First Sunday in Lent:
devil in the wilderness.
The Temptation; (Luke 4:1-13). Jesus meets the

March 24th, 2013 (9:30AM: Biblical discussion of Luke 19:28-40 & Luke 22:14-23:56 The Rev. Dr. Basye Holland-Shuey) followed by the 10:30 AM Holy Eucharist Service.
Palm Sunday: The Praise; (Luke 19:28-40) and Passion; (Luke 22:14-23:56) Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem foreshadows his death.
March 31st, 2013 (9:30AM:
Biblical discussion of Luke 24:1-12by The Rev. Dr. Basye Holland-Shuey) followed by the 10:30 AM Holy Eucharist Service.
Easter Day:
The Transformation; (Luke 24:1-12) An open tomb witnesses to the miracle – He has risen, Jesus lives!
