Distinctive Venues… The Mariners’ Museum & Park has been a Newport News landmark for more than 80 years. Our unique campus hosts a variety of spaces both in our award-winning Museum and our 550-acre Park. Each of our fifteen exceptional sites offers flexible options and stunning surroundings, and our Events Team is always eager to assist wherever needed. We hope for the opportunity to transform your milestone into an historic occasion.
Museum Rentals
All rental rates reflect a 4-hour event time, additional time provided for set up and clean up Rentals include the use of Museum furniture, set up by Museum staff, consistent with an agreeable layout Rentals include the use of Museum audio/visual components available within the rental space All decorations must be free-standing and without adhesive NO live flame, glitter, birdseed, rice, smoke or fog The Museum cannot hold any items for any event until the day of the event; all items must be removed immediately following the event Catering must be provided by a professional from the Museum’s Approved Caterers Listing Cake or cupcakes may be obtained from any vendor Free Museum self-parking is available to all event participants A completed Event Reservation Form serves as an intent to commit, which secures the event date A $300.00 refundable security deposit and 50% of the rental rate is due with a signed Letter of Agreement and Policies and Procedures document If renting within 30 days of the event, the aforementioned and 100% of the rental fee is due A 20% discount will be applied when renting multiple venues at full price All prices and discounts are subject to change Event Liability Insurance and proper ABC licensing is required for all events

Ceremonial cakes or cupcakes may be obtained outside of this list.
Park events may provide their own food.
Park Venues The Mariners’ Museum’s Park is the largest privately maintained park open to the public for free in America. Your event supports the Museum’s upkeep efforts for the 5-mile Noland Trail, our various field spaces, Lake Maury, Lions Bridge and so much more! Park Rentals No organized event may take place on The Noland Trail. A completed Event Reservation Form serves as an intent to commit, which secures the event date. 100% of the rental rate is due with a signed Letter of Agreement and Policies and Procedures document. Event Liability Insurance and proper ABC licensing is required for all events. All trash receptacles must be emptied after the event; Museum dumpsters are available for disposal. Fires are not allowed in any capacity without prior approval; failure to comply will result in removal from the property without reimbursement. Tents, grills, dumpsters, signs, portable toilets and rental items must be approved before placement. Park events may provide their own food and beverages. Areas do not include water or electric hookups.

Capacity – 200 Large field space, alternate parking and shuttle required for above 150 guests. Capacity – 5,000 Wooded platform with picnic tables, parking for up to 15 cars. Capacity – 30 Beautiful riverfront and lake views. Park Ranger provides parking assistance. Capacity – 150 Large secluded field, pavilion with picnic tables, field parking in fair weather. Capacity – 2,000 Hidden platform, great view of the lake and Lions Bridge, parking for up to 10 cars. Capacity – 25 Highly visible space on Warwick Blvd. Proof of alternate parking required for above 200 guests. Capacity – 1,000
