Saturday, September 29th- XC XC: Description: a 4 mile, twisty, curvy lap through Purdue’s McCormick Woods! No zoning out on this course- turns and light obstacles came quick and heavy! Candy and possibly bagel prizes on announced laps! Entry Fee: $15 per race Category Time Distance Prize Men’s C 10:30 am 8 mi/ 2laps Points+ High 5’s! Women’s B/C 10:35 am 8 mi/2 laps Points+ High 5’s! Men’s B 11:33 am 16 mi/ 4 laps Points+ High 5’s! Women’s A 11:35 am 16 mi/ 4 laps Points+ High 5’s! Men’s A 11:30 am 24 mi/ 6 laps Points+ High 5’s!
Sunday, September 30th- STXC STCX: Sleep in a bit! We’ll be busy cleaning up the field from tailgaters and setting up the course! Description: A tight and technical course on Purdue’s Pickett Park! Sharp, steep climbs, off-camber sections, and lots of power climbing. Candy primes (if we don’t eat it all)! Entry Fee: $15. Category Time Distance Prizes Men’s C 11am 25min Points+ High 5’s! Women’s B/C 11:03 am 25 min Points+ High 5’s! Men’s A 11:40 am 40 min Points+ High 5’s! Men’s B 11:41 am 40 min Points+ High 5’s! Women’s A 11:42 am 40 min Points+ High 5’s! Race Entry Fee: Race entry fee is $15 per race.
Registration: Saturday: 9:00am and closes 15 minutes before the start of each race. Sunday: Noon and closes 15 minutes before the start of each race. Riders must have a valid USA Cycling Collegiate license. One day ($10) & annual licenses ($30) will be available for purchase on site. Lodging: Hotels or host housing are available locally, contact below for details. Given that there is a home football game (parents weekend); hotels will be hard to come by. However, we will do our best to honor all host housing requests.
Directions to XC: 1324 McCormick Rd, West Lafayette, IN 47906 From the South: On I-65, take state Road 26 west through Lafayette, across the Wabash River into West Lafayette, and through Purdue’s Campus. At the west end of Purdue’s campus, turn right onto McCormick road (Road 526). After about 1 mile you should see the start / finish in the field to your right and the Schwartz Tennis Complex on your left. Please be respectful when parking and park fully off the road on the gravel on either McCormick or Cherry Lane. Volunteers will be on site to assist. From the North: On I-65 exit on State Road 43, proceed South into West Lafayette. Turn right on State Road 26 and follow directions from above.
Directions to STCX: (40.43, -86.93) apprx 1370 W. Stadium Ave. Take IN-26 west. Follow through Lafayette and into West Lafayette. Once on campus, turn right on Martin Jischke Dr. Turn left on Stadium Ave. There is a small parking lot at the Pickett Park entrance and there is more parking in the gravel lot by the baseball stadiums.
