Summertime Fun at Camp Cobb Summer is fast approaching and our “Campers” are certainly enjoying their stays at Camp Cobb. We’re sure that their parents are enjoying their “Vacations Without Guilt!” We take pride in the quality of care we give all our Campers. We believe that with our outstanding veterinarians and exceptional staff your pet could be in no better hands. Our facilities are specially designed to help prohibit disease transmission, yet still provide open and pleasant accommodations. Canine Campers are kept indoors in our large, clean, odorfree lodgings and enjoy numerous visits to the spacious outside area for potty-time and exercise. Playtime sessions are offered with a personal Camp Counselor Monday through Saturday, for a
small additional fee. In Playtime, Campers enjoy splashing in the kiddie pool, playing on the jungle gym, and plenty of snacks at the Biscuit Bar. They also love all of the toys they get to play with! All Canine Campers are provided a complimentary bath after four nights of boarding! Feline Campers also enjoy clean indoor lodgings with optional Playtime, which includes fun scratching posts, plenty of toys and catnip. (And of course, plenty of love.) Parents feel comforted knowing that our veterinarians are available to provide any veterinary medical care needed during the Camper’s stay, and that their pets are in a safe environment with highly trained staff that specialize in Camper safety and FUN!
Before Registering for Camp... For the health and safety of all the Campers, we require proof of up -to-date vaccinations, if done elsewhere, in order to stay at our facilities. Doggie Campers should be vaccinated against Rabies, Distemper, Parvo and Bordetella. Kitty Campers should be vaccinated against Rabies and Distemper. All Campers are provided plenty of comfy blankets, so you do not have to worry about bringing any from home! Call (336) 288-8550 for reservations! Summer dates are filling up fast!

COBB ANIMAL CLINIC’S
New Advancements in Flea Control We are pleased to announce the arrival of a novel new flea control product for dogs, Comfortis, by Eli Lilly pharmaceuticals. Comfortis is given once a month by mouth as a beef-flavored tablet that begins killing fleas within thirty minutes, kills all the fleas within four hours and continues to kill fleas for thirty days! The active ingredient in Comfortis, spinosad, was introduced in 1999 for use in agriculture and received a “Presidential Green Challenge Award” by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. It works by interfering with the flea’s neurotransmission and causing it to die before it can lay eggs! Clinical studies have shown it to be safe and effective when
administered along with commonly used veterinary medications. Comfortis may be especially appealing to dog owners who do not want to use one of the topical products. There is no tube to deal with, it can’t be rubbed or shaken off, swimming and bathing do not decrease its effectiveness, and your dog can be played with immediately. There is no risk of application site reactions because it is given orally. It has been demonstrated safe for dogs 14 weeks and older. Please ask one of our staff members if you are interested in trying Comfortis for your dog.
Did you know that we have been matching 1-800-Pet-Meds prices on flea and heartworm preventatives since 2003? In addition to offering you low prices, we continue to offer company specials to help save you money. For instance, when you purchase a 6-month supply of Advantage, K9 Advantix, or Frontline Plus you will receive an additional month for free! We also offer Sentinel and Interceptor rebates whenever they are available. We want our clients to have the safest products available, so we continue to strive to offer low pricing with company incentives all at one convenient location. If you have any questions regarding flea and heartworm preventatives, please call us at (336) 288-8550.
