The Program Thank you for enrolling your child in our summer school program. This is a great opportunity for your child to improve their reading and math skills. The program will help your scholar be successful for the upcoming school year. Summer school is also beneficial in reducing summer loss. Progress Reports - You will receive progress reports July 7 and July 28. Scholars will not receive grades. Discipline - All scholars are expected to follow PEC’s policies and Student Code of Conduct. Any students violating the code of conduct will receive immediate disciplinary actions. Absences/Late Pick Up -Scholars should attend school daily. If the student will be absent, please contact the school no later than 8:15 a.m. at 313831-3280. If a student is absent twice, it is an automatic dismissal from the program. The day ends at noon and scholars must be picked up promptly. Classes and Schedule - Classes are held Monday thru Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Our 6th and 7th grade scholars will receive instruction from Science Center personnel. The scholars will travel to the Science Center every Thursday for handson activities and Center exploration.
