The Rev. Pamela Stringer Nominated Office: Standing Committee (Clergy) Nominee’s Parish: Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Hampstead Brief Biography: As a life long Episcopalian, my love for our church is deeply rooted in my soul. I was in high school when my father went to seminary at the University of the South in 1961. Twenty years later I followed in his footsteps to seminary, but attended Seabury-Western. My first experience in this diocese was to work with my father the summer of 1983while still in seminary and he was rector of St. Peter’s, Washington. I moved to the Diocese of East Carolina in 1996 from the Diocese of Indianapolis where I was Canon Missioner at Christ Church Cathedral. I served first as interim rector of St. Paul’s, Clinton then at St. Thomas, Bath before being called as rector of Holy Trinity, Hampstead where I continue to serve. During my 20 years in the Diocese of East Carolina I have served on many of our various committees and commissions, most recently on the Commission on Ministry. I previously served 4 years on the Standing Committee and as president for 2 years. It has given me pleasure to serve a number of times on the Board of Directors of Trinity Center, especially being the chair of the board when the current director, Penn Perry, was called to that position. Since college I have worked with youth in numerous dioceses and continue doing so now with the youth at Holy Trinity. I have enjoyed my turn leading sessions at Camp Trinity for numerous summers. I will continue to serve our diocese where I am asked, to the best of my abilities, with the power of the Holy Spirit working in me.
