Do we revisit the Noldor? Ñ
Ñ
Seems unnecessary. Elves wandering up the coast isn’t much of a story. However, the scene in Episode 3 where Fingolfin and Fëanor meet after the Kinslaying and Fingolfin breaks his sword could be bumped back until now. It would give Fingolfin enough time to process and have that reaction, rather than a hasty judgement in the immediate aftermath of the storm.

Brian Dimmick: Do we want to portray the petty-dwarves as sympathetic and misunderstood by the other dwarves (and elves), or do we want to show them as unfriendly and antisocial folk who got exiled for a reason and deserve their petty name? Forth Dauntless: Wandering dwarves who are anti-social to the usual crafting, mining and building activities of dwarves. As a result of this, we see them branded as petty by the other dwarves, who find their lack of craftsmanship to be unnatural and an offense against Aulë

So, what happens in this episode? If the main battle between the orcs and the Green Elves doesn’t happen until Episode 9, what do the Green Elves do in the meantime? What role do they play?
