Important Events For Next Week:
N e x t We e k . . . There will be no school on Monday due to the Labor Day holiday. When school resumes on Tuesday, spelling for the week will be missing. We will not be having spelling during the shortened week. Students wishing to retest on the Midwestern states will do so on Friday on next week.
Next Friday, students will use their mathematics, social studies, and language arts skills to Escape the Room!
On Friday, September 8th, students will be placed in groups of 34. In each group, they must work together using skills taught this year in the areas of mathematics, language arts, and social studies. Groups will attempt to Escape the Room by solving clues. Hopefully, this will be a great review of skills covered in August! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!
T h i s We e k i n R ev i e w This week , we took a break from our rotations. Instead, we took our first posttests in reading and mathematics. Scores will help determine which students go to which classrooms during our Success time.
Students got the opportunity to listen to Mr. Spencer talk about the highlights of the upcoming Bradford Woods field trip. Permission slips were handed out later that day. Presently, we are still in need of male chaperones and a nurse.
Finally, students finished their Northwest Testing for the fall season. We also worked on number lines using string and pictures of spiders. We created spider webs to help place mixed numbers, decimals, and improper fractions on number lines.
