I thank all of you for your continued prayer for our ministry. We serve an awesome God. Since our last update, Elijah accepted Christ, Praise God! He is young, and it is always fun to watch him witness to others. He has the tactfulness of a heart attack, but likes to ask people if they know God and if they know Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Also, God has provided a larger place for us to meet. It is a much nicer venue with capability to seat more than eighty people (above picture). This is a major answer to prayer, the last building would seat sixty-five, but was crowded with forty-five. There have been many new visitors since the move and it is a blessing to be able to work with some of them. We still hope to have our own building someday, but this has taken the strain off for now. I am trying to encourage our people not to become comfortable, but to press on and fill this building to capacity as well. Please, continue to pray for the people here in Katherine. Hearts are so hard. There are constant reminders of the effects of sin around us here. It is easy get to the place where you ignore it. We travel through the streets picking up youth group kids on Friday nights, and we get to see where all of us could be if God hadn’t saved our souls. People need the Lord, and someone has to tell them the good news of the gospel. We have started a Thursday night Structural Bible Study class for any who want to come along. Work obligations and travelling has made the class a bit hit and miss for attendants. Please pray as we continue to look into what ministries God wants here. Opportunities are plenteous, and the ecumenical movement would have us running here and there with all sorts of things. Pray that our people will see through the fallacies of all this, and be willing to draw some lines in the sands of doctrine. Both sides of our family have had quite a few physical problems. Jessica’s dad is struggling with some lung issues, and my dad just went through a triple bypass followed by a clot in the lungs. Things like these make thousands of miles seem just a little further away. However, we are thankful that God ignores geological location and hears and answers prayer. Jessica and I celebrated 15yrs of marriage, and I am still impressed with her patience. She is faithful, a wonderful wife and mother, and this ministry could not function the way it does without her. Thank you for you continued prayer and support. We count on God working through you to be able to accomplish His will for us here. Thank you for your faithfulness.
Bushfires are a way of life here. It’s a constant reminder to us of the final destination of the people of Katherine who reject him. Please pray for the softening of hearts!!
