THE UNITY SOCIETY

01 Kansas City, Missouri The Unity Society is not the off shoot of any organization but is an original and independent movement in religious study. It teaches that the Bible, and espec ially the New Testament, is a record of Truth, and “ profitable for instruction,” but that the “ Spirit of Truth who will lead you into all Truth,” is the greatest Teacher. It is believed that the Christian reli gion is a science and that it can be applied to every department of human life and

solve all the problems that perplex men. It teaches that everything that men have done in any age can be done now. Jesus and his followers healed the sick, and using the same law, the members of this Society are daily healing the sick. Healing the sick is thejfirst step in Chris tian regeneration. The Unity Society has been in exis tence here in Kansas City where it originated, over twenty years. It pub lishes U n i t y , a monthly magazine $1.00 per year; T h e S i g n s t h a t F o l l o w , a

The regular monthly meeting of the Woman’s Auxiliary was held Friday at 3 p. m. in the parlors of Unity Building. After the usual routine of reports, etc., the parlor committee stated that steps were being taken to place portieres at the entrance to the parlor from the stairs, that the room might be shut off from the other rooms when necessary. The estimate for the grill and curtains was about forty dollars. The committee reported that the mission writing desk for the parlor was ordered and would be here in a few days. The work of repairing the ceiling in parlor and touching up the walls in Auditorium where leaks had defaced the decorations has been done by the Auxil iary, and the work is very satisfactory. The picnic for the Sunday School on July 5th is interesting the members of the Auxiliary and committees . were ap pointed to look after the supper and to receive and welcome all who attend the picnic. The women also volunteered to make bean-bags for the entertainment of the children. T r u e to H is S e c t “ T h ey tell me, U ncle Mose, that you a re an o c to g e n aria n .” “ No, suh!
