THINKING THE WORST INT.- HALLWAY Two girls walking, chattering conversationally. One places her hand on the others’ shoulder. ALLISON Hey Liv, I’ll call you after class okay? Allison leans in and kisses Olivia on the cheek. Olivia watches Allison head towards class and run into one of her friends. Allison and her friend look like they’re having a wonderful time. Olivia turns away, anxiety clearly written on her face. EXT.- SIDEWALK, DAYTIME Olivia walks down the sidewalk, phone in hand, looking down at the screen every so often. As she heads back to her apartment she continues to fidget with her phone. A car horn blares and Olivia suddenly becomes aware of her surroundings, shoving her cell phone into her coat pocket. She glances around the street, noticing a pink chalk outline of a heart up ahead. It slowly morphs into a heart with a crack down the center. She shakes her head, focusing on her trek. She notices a crushed flower alongside the road. But decides that it’s only a coincidence; she continues walking. She checks her phone. A couple, walking in front of her have their hands clasped. The girl is wearing a silver ring. Olivia watches the ring fall slowly off the girls’ finger. She does a double-take and ring is back on the girl’s hand. Reaching her apartment, Olivia looks down at her phone to check the time. She sighs, placing the phone back into her pocket, and pulling out her keys instead to open the door.

INT.- OLIVIA’S APARTMENT Olivia flops down on her couch, looking disappointed, just as she is about to shut her phone off, it rings. OLIVIA Hello? Olivia smiles, picking up a photo of her and Allison together that’s resting on her end table. OLIVIA I’m so glad you called.
